I really like the way Yahoo presents its search results. If anything, I consider their search engine a lot fairer and practical. Whereas Google it's about longevity and power, Yahoo uses better filters in my opinion.

So...I just think that buying technology off of Google isn't really righteous if they are pursuing a more new-business-friendly path. But, hey, if it works for both of them, then maybe it was the right move.

The worst that can happen is Google gets a monopoly and the government steps in. Haha, yeah right. I'm not too worried about Yahoo lagging behind or whatever. I use it all the time for backlink analysis.

Well its cool to see that yahoo is getting out of the rut its been in since 2002 and that google finally has some competition for running analytics. YAAC sounds the best but it would probably get em sued.

I look forward to using their index tools. It is a shame that they have fallen so far behind. I am not sure what to think about a possible merger. i cannot help, but thing it a bad thing for the internet.

Whatever yahoo does, i think it is more or less in response to google.
yahoo (or anyone else for that matter) will need a proactive approach if they really want compete with the big G.
