Thanks for posting this. I actually live in LA myself and I know this law goes into effect in July but I hadn’t even kept myself up to date on what exactly it involved. I actually think it’s a bad law. Seems to me the dangerous part with cell phones is dialing, not just holding them while you’re driving. But oh well, what can you do…

Supposedly talking on the phone while driving has as many accidents as accidents where people have .8 blood alcohol levels. These laws are only to make roads more safe.
