I thinking to use any other method to prevent spam. Also, yesterday, a real comment went into the Akismet spam list and I had to revive it. I am willing to guess that there is a whole system of black hats out there with Akismet-empowered blogs who are now approving spam in order to render Akismet's auto-detection ineffective. My $0.02.
