Great tips. I just started blogging at Wordpress.com. You are so right that people create crap content. Isn't the purpose of blogging to share ideas and opinions, etc.? That is what I am trying to do in addition to attracting some attention to my web sites.

Shandy,

Great article and the truthful advice that everyone should remember. You have to make your own world and get people mesmerized and drawn to it. Curiousity can play a bg part to blogging! As of now I can't afford to pay for traffic, waa, but I wil try your suggestions of joining a blogging community. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. Keep up the great work and hope to see more articles from you. Peace.

Shandy,

Great advice! Getting social is an important way to get visitors, but I think that getting involved in providing quality feedback and comments on other reputable blogs is more important. You can impress authors with authority and get targeted visitors to your blog, but it is important to be active on blogs related to your content.

Keep up the frank, honest posts!

Good stuff Shandy. I also recommend that people get on board with MyBlogLog and other blogging networks as it can have a similar effect as linking to a site. I notice that very often when I visit the site of a MyBlogLob member, they will visit mine to see who visited.

Regards.

The importance of being social and its impact on the success of your blog can never be underestimated.

If you like a post drop someone a quick email to the blogger and say so. Everyone loves a little bit of praise and the chances of you making your way into their feed reader increased a bunch of the back of a small courtesy.

Nice Article.

Digging own posts helps. But one should also pay attention to the fact that its not good to uselessly digg any of our blog post with no quality content.Only the quality in the content of blog can only make a reader to like your blog and turn them into a regular reader, so I would say keep quality as the first point.
