I have trying to install windows live amil beta but it can not run properly. after security windows permission it stop installing with out any response.

um. scrap that. just got it to work as i was typing that comment. i just did the same thing as when i had problems installing it into XP. Extracted the installer .exe file so i had a .msi and a bootstrapper. delete the bootsrapper and run the msi… maybe that will help someone else…

Yeah, having the same problem trying to install WLMD onto vista. I’m really only trialing ivsta at the moment, and like you, i live WLMD, so if it doesn’t work i may have to stick with XP for now.

I am using WLMd on Vista and the only problem I have is “Active Search” keeps enabling itself even though I turn the stupid thing off.

I am also having issues with WLMd and Vista. The program installs fine but when trying to connect for the first time it says i must upgrade to a newer version to continue. The link takes me to the windows live page with NO sign of any WLMd upgrade/download or anything. I hope MS will release a version compatable with Vista soon becasue it is a great program. Vista is realy nice but the lack of WLMd could be a deciding factor in staying with XP. Functionality outweighs prettyness.

I feel good when I see other people satisfied with Vista. I think Vista is one of the best product, Microsoft have launched.
