Sounds Like Johnny’s Getting Laid!

I am really sad to report actor Peter Boyle has passed away. Peter, 71 years old, is probably most recognized as playing the father of Raymond, Frank Barone on “Everybody Loves Raymond”
According to various news sources he died after a long battle with multiple myeloma and heart disease.
Peter Boyle has been in so many great movies such as Young Frankenstein, The Candidate and one of my favorites, playing Chief Orman in Honeymoon in Vegas.
Boyle also played in a little organized crime film that rarely gets quoted. He played my favorite mob boss Jacko Dundee in Johnny Dangerously.
I actually loved this movie and I am surprised how many people have not seen it. For some reason I will randomly throw out a few lines from this movie to see if anyone will catch it.
“You tell me another gang in New York that has its own dental plan.”
“You shouldn’t hang me on a hook Johnny. My mother hung me on a hook once…ONCE!”
And of course every Fourth of July when the fireworks go off, I think of Jacko Dundee and say to myself “Sounds like Johnnny’s getting laid”
Well Peter Boyle, aka Frank Barone aka Mr. Jacko Dundee, you will be missed.

Sad to see him go - a really talented guy. Two obvservations:
1) For some reason he seemed a lot older than 71 or maybe that he always seemed to be 71 even 10 years ago
2) He was in a hell of a lot of stuff - wow

I was listening to a report about him earlier, they said he was a extremely talented actor.
