Scary Scary Scary!!! Oh my god this is scary!

I saw Bill Maher mention this on Friday night. Pretty frightening. How far is this from the brain washing of the Islamic fundamentalists?
I’m surprised that McDonalds or Disney haven’t struck some kind of deal with the camp. Official sponsor of Jesus Camp…

BeepBeep, that parody is highly disturbing! Timely parody, check out my previous post on how everyone is comparing everything to Hitler. http://www.shandyking.com/2006/09/22/stop-comparing-to-hitler/
Greg, I’m glad I have HBO on demand. I just watched Bill Maher to see what he had to say about the Jesus Camp and it turned out to be a great episode.

It’s definitely disturbing when people can’t recognize the same behaviors in themselves that they abhor in others.
The inflexibility to believe in any other logic is what is probably the scariest thing to me. Unfortunately the rise in people against fundamentalist right wing Christianity only makes them feel more under attach and cling to their beliefs even stronger.

Scary,
Kids are so impressionable. Even if you do have extremist views or beliefs, you should be honest with yourself about it and do your best to spare the kids and let them come to some of their own conclusions about life. No need to brainwash them.
I fear that some of those kids will have a hard time as they grow up. Thoughts of “No wonder I’m a screwed up adult… Look at my screwed up childhood.”

(Bad joke) Two terrorists are talking about their kids. One pulls out a photo of his oldest son and says that he’s a martyr. The other shows a picture of his son who is also a martyr.
One terrorist looks at the other and says; “Kids… They blow up so fast.”

Funny, I don’t recall any Christian kids ever strapping bombs around their chest and blowing- up innocent civilians in the name of God. The Left love to make comparisons between fundamentalist Christians and the Islamo-Facists… “Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America.” -Rosie O’Donnell

Anyone who has a problem with this camp should be intellectually honest. Do you also have a problem with children being raised as Orthodox Jews, Mormon/LDS, Budhists, etc?
The reason you may not have a problem is just another example of how the Left truly feel. Paranoia about Christians simply stems from understanding that his relatively large voting block mostly votes against the secularist agenda being forwarded in the school system and mainstream media. It’s about power, or in the Left Wings case, the lack thereof.

How can one not make a comparison? Aren’t we watching extremism? Radical Christianity and Islamo fundamentalism are both movements which prey on children.
Wait till these kids start making policy for our educational system. Must we argue over Creationism vs. Evolution in this day and age?

“Funny, I don’t recall any Christian kids ever strapping bombs around their chest and blowing- up innocent civilians in the name of God.”
Break out your history books Shrubber. After the turn of the first millenium, for a couple hundred years or so, the Pope(s) issued his own little jihad. Perhaps you have heard of the Crusades? How many killed or subjugated? In your God’s name…

Dennis Prager interviews author Thomas Madden,”The new concise history of the Crusades” and give us a low down on the Crusades.
Dennis Prager and Madden both state “Crusades were not done to spread Christianity”.

This video is creepy and scary. I can’t believe people would let their children go to such camps. It’s really nothing different from islamic fundamentalists.

while i appreciate that the makers of Jesus Camp let interviewees do all the talking, they were obviously very selective about what they let into the final movie release; over all, there is some useful truth in this flick… as long as it’s taken with a grain (or maybe a bucket) of salt
