You Must Watch the Dark Side! Bush Administration knew Iraq Was Not Connected to 911

Want to know why we are in Iraq? Want to know what was going on in the minds of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell, the rest of the Administration and CIA that lead the United States to Iraq?

You must watch this!, a 1.5 hour PBS Frontline documentary called The Dark Side. The footage is available for all to see online.

“Amid revelations about faulty prewar intelligence and a scandal surrounding the indictment of the vice president’s chief of staff and presidential adviser, I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, FRONTLINE goes behind the headlines to investigate the internal war that was waged between the intelligence community and Richard Bruce Cheney, the most powerful vice president in the nation’s history.”

“A lot of what needs to be done here will have to be done quietly, without any discussion, using sources and methods that are available to our intelligence agencies,” Cheney told Americans just after 9/11. He warned the public that the government would have to operate on the “dark side.”

“Early in the Bush administration, Cheney placed a group of allies throughout the government who advocated a robust and pre-emptive foreign policy, especially regarding Iraq. But a potential obstacle was Tenet, a holdover from the Clinton administration who had survived the transition by bypassing Cheney and creating a personal bond with the president.”

I watched this a week ago and have been struggling to write a blog about it since. I think after watching this, you will see why nothing more needs to be said.

another good link is http://www.loosechange911.com where actual analysis (more thorough and scientific than the Bush administration’s) of the 911 events exposes all the deceit and a possible republican/big-oil conspiracy.

The usual suspects are guilty again? You people need something to do with yourselves, in between drinking your kool-aid and denying the Clinton administrations failure to get Bin Laden when he was offered up on a silver platter by Sudan.

    Craig, you ask…

“The usual suspects are guilty again?”

If the leaders of this country are not responsible, who are? If you say the terrorists are responsible for us going to Iraq at least take a few seconds to point us Kool-Aid drinkers to another bar. But so far I don’t see anything better to drink apart from some Whisky logic that I’ve been buying into for years.

    1. I thought Iraq was a threat to the world because they had WMD’s.

    2. I thought Iraq was a threat to the US because they were a sponsor of terrorists.

    3. I felt that the US having a strong position in that region of the world was best for national security but gaining that position has become a cluster-fuck.

    4. As I have written in previous posts, I am for preemptive action as long as our intelligence is substantiated and we are prepared for worst case scenarios.

Oh Craig, just another quick point. I took a look at your blog

(I am giving you link love here to show this Kool-Aid drinker is fair).

Are you seriously pointing your readers to articles that condemn Gore for being an evangelist against global warming?

There will always being folks in the scientific community whom will come to different conclusions about our planets health. Does this seriously have to be a left / right issue?

As far as I am concerned, let the guy go out and educate our country on how to be more environmentally conscience.

    Dear evan (July 9th, 2006 05:49 2i) and all:

Obviously, most of us who were involved with and have since studied Majestic for 47 years have have long known if not “always said” that jr was and is not smart. Regardless of how he didn’t do in college, his brain was fried on coke after he was kept from the Vietnam War by his father’s friends in and out of Majestic and the corporate shadow government that has directed it since the took out Pres. Kenedy.

What I did not know, and had not previously found were other ex-M

The refusal of the Republicans to admit that their wrong, has again (Nixion) put a crimial in the Whitehouse! I find that they are liars and they can not remember what the topic is, when they are lying or trying NOT to admit it!
This blog was about the crimials, but the Republicans have turned it into an anti-Clinton ad! They even put Al Gore into it? Talk about overkill. Why do they continally bring up Clinton, when the topic is Bush and his wrong doings?(crime)
It will take history to make the truth come out. OH! But, out it will come and the country will have to deal with the truth.
Why its just like the people down south who still want to fly the confederate flag. The last time I check people who atteck america are terrorist? So, is that not the flag of a terrorist organization?? Flying over the capital of one state?
OH! NO! Hear comes the Republicans’ doulbe talk and you hear. What are you talking about? You Dem… those man died to keep you free (unless your black, in which case?) and fought to make this country safe!! Then the REAL! doulbe talk begins. Why people like Clinton and…etc!!
I think that if, the movie on Reagans life had been released. Bush or no other Republican would be elected dog catcher in Texas! One day when I’m old, they’ll release that movie and people will say we voted for that guy?

    YES YOU DID!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is anybody really surprised ???? Basic logic told anybody with a brain this years ago…..Afghanistan was a reaction to 911 and efforts there and in Pakistan were preventative …..Iraq was an elective war based on ideology and ego and idiotic inductive reasoning …ie you want the square peg to fit in the round hole so you pound it in until it breaks and tell everyone who tells you you are an idiot they are unpatriotic or weak or just naive ….My heart goes out to all the young men and women who serve this country and risk their lives so our president can shake his fist in righteous anger at an enemy who was never more than an also ran in the terror war and never a threat to our country ….If all you Bush fans want unquestioning loyalty to your leader move to China …questioning authority when you know that authprity is wrong and misguided is the most American thing anyone can do

Nixon: I actually wanted to visit his grave and apologize. What he did was monkey shines in comparison to W.

They have their agenda and will push it at all costs. They MUST be held accountable for the deceit and trashing the Constitution.
